I recently had the incredible honor of being invited to the Illustration Institute of Maine for an artistic residency on the enchanting Peaks Island. This opportunity has been amazig, allowing me to focus on a new project and connect with new dimensions and friends.
As an artist, the prospect of spending dedicated time on an island known for its natural beauty and artistic community was nothing short of exhilarating. Peaks Island, with its rugged coastlines and nice community , provides the perfect backdrop for creative exploration.
One of the most exciting aspects of this residency has been the chance to meet fellow artists like our neighbor fellow artist for the residency Cozby Cabrera who comes from stunning talented path and rich experience. This mix of perspectives has brought a refreshing nuance to my work and has opened my eyes to new dimensions in art that I hoped.
Each day, we Inkdrop studio's gang, Me and Marilena found inspired by the island's serene landscapes, from the rocky shores to the lush forests. There's a unique connection between the artist and the environment here, and it's something I believe every illustrator should experience at least once in their lifetime.
Stay tuned for more updates on my artistic journey here on Peaks Island, Maine, and the incredible moments that unfold as I embrace creativity, nu dimensions, and nu friends.
